HOW CAN I APPLY ?

How can I apply for the coding bootcamp ?

To apply for the bootcamp, you just need to complete and submit the Application Form. This is a rather quick process, that takes a few minutes. Then, you will receive a notification to let you know if you have been selected for the bootcamp.

Is there any preparatory work before the start of the bootcamp ?

The only technical prerequisite to join the bootcamp is to complete an online lesson. It generally takes between 15 and 20 hours, and is absolutely mandatory.

Do you accept all levels ?

Yes all levels are accepted. You will follow a quick module online to give you some basic knowledge to make sure that everybody starts with the same minimum skills.

How much does a training costs ?

For price-related questions please refer directly to the dedicated page on our website.

Do you have payment facility ?

We can offer payment facility but for more questions please contact directly our Support Team and we will inform you more on that.

When should I apply ?

The sooner, the better, because of limited availability. Reducing class sizes helps us to maintain an excellent teacher-student ratio and ensures the highest quality of instruction. Also, you’ll be asked to complete some pre-work before the course and the sooner you get started with that, the better prepared you’ll be for the start of the course.

Scholarships can be offered ?

Unfortunately, there are not any official scholarships available to join Weecode at that time.

What payment plans do you offer ? How many installments and on which schedule ?

The payment for the bootcamp is made in 2 installments : 50% of the tuition fees need to be paid in the beginning, and 50% in the end.

Is housing included ?

No, but we work on agreements for affordable appartments we could share with you.

How do you reconcile the knowledge gap between students with different technical/programming levels ?

Firstly, the goal of our admissions process is to select a cohort that will be able to move more or less at the same pace. Secondly, completing the pre-work is important to make sure that everyone has the same foundational knowledge. That being said, some people will move faster than others, but that’s OK ! Our curriculum is designed to adapt itself to those that are moving more quickly and those that need a bit more personalized attention.

Do the bootcamp’s students have the same profile ?

Our students all have very different profiles. Our students are between 18 and 60, and they all share the same curiosity and enthusiasm for coding. They all come from various background: students, marketers, engineers, sales, lawyers, journalists, architects, musicians… Thus, spending 9 weeks at Weecode is not only an incredible human experience, it also helps you build an astonishing community for your after-bootcamp life!

I don't have any technical background, is it the right program for me ?

You do not need any technical background to join our bootcamp. We expect 3 things from our students : be very motivated, be curious, be social. If this sounds like you, then we would be more than happy to have you on board !

WHAT I WILL LEARN ?

Do I need my own laptop ?

Yes, you do. If you are enrolled in the Web Development or the Data Analytics Bootcamp, we don’t really mind what OS you’re running (Linux, Windows or MacOS).

What will I be able to build at the end of the Web Development Program ?

At the end of the 10 weeks, you will have a JavaScript junior developer level. This means you will be able to quickly prototype your ideas by creating a web application on your own. For instance, you will know how to include authentification to your site (simple signin/signup, or Facebook/WeChat connect), add an admin back-office, include payment features, automate e-mails sending, and much more. You will also know how to quickly deploy in production and you will have learnt the programming best practices used by top-level startups. You will then be facing a choice: continue your entrepreneurial journey or become a junior developer in a startup or a bigger tech company.

How many hours per week will I be working ?

Students in our full-time bootcamp will work around 40 hours per week. Classes are Monday to Friday and start at 9 AM and typically finish around 6 PM. However, once the class is over, you’ll keep working on your exercises and personal projects alongside your classmates. On Fridays, you’ll do an assessment exercise that will go over all of the topics covered that week. That’ll give you an idea of how much you’ll have to work on the weekend !

Is it possible to learn all of this in this short period of time ?

Yes, it is, but you have to put in the work. Weecode will give you all the educational materials, teachers and support along every step of the way. But, you have to come prepared to work hard and to put in much more than the minimum.

Can't I learn all of this online ?

Yes, it’s possible. However, most of students tried self-studying first but realized it wasn’t getting them to their objective fast enough. With the resources, teachers, and peers that Weecode provides, we’re confident that you’ll have all the tools necessary to keep you motivated and help you reach your goals !

What is the main difference between a coding bootcamp and a Computer Science degree ?

The main difference between a Computer Science degree and a coding bootcamp is that you learn by doing. In a traditional curriculum, you will start learning all the theoretical knowledge (electronic basis, hardware…) before tackling all the elements that make up the Internet today (user interface, operating system…) and then only would you approach web development. This is useful only if you want to be able to navigate between these layers. However, nowadays, you can build almost anything while only mastering the last part. At the end of the bootcamp, you will be able to either launch your own startup, start as a junior developer, or become a product manager for example.

What happens when I graduate ?

That depends on your objective. If you’re in the market for a developer job, the fun doesn’t stop at the end of the last week ! Following the course, we’ll host a career week where we’ll test your skills and make sure that you’re razor-sharp for the interview you’ll set up with our corporate partners.

Do you offer career support ?

We do support all our students in finding the right career path after the bootcamp, sharing them all the necessary resources to build the best LinkedIn profile, getting the best out of the alumni Slack groups, enjoy our exclusive perks, land their first job as developers or product managers, launch their startup or start their freelancing career. However, we consider that the ability of each student to find a position after the bootcamp is highly based on the student’s motivation and work. Guaranteeing 100% employment at the end of the bootcamp would be dishonest in that regard.
